Record Sales Achievement

Sika Ltd reported record sales of CHF 8,914.9 million for the first nine months of 2024, marking a 5.5% increase in Swiss francs compared to the previous year. The sales growth in local currencies was 9.1%, despite a negative foreign currency effect of -3.6%. Profitability and EBITDA Growth

In terms of profitability, Sika Ltd achieved a new record for its operating profit before depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), which reached CHF 1,701.7 million, a 13.2% increase from the previous year. The EBITDA margin also saw a significant rise to 19.1%, up from 17.8% in the previous year, reflecting the company's strong operational performance and efficiency gains.

Regional Sales Performance

Sika Ltd experienced growth across all regions during the first nine months of 2024. The Americas region led with a 12.2% increase in local currencies, driven by infrastructure projects and reshoring activities. The EMEA region saw a 9.0% growth, supported by infrastructure and commercial construction projects. The Asia/Pacific region recorded a 4.7% increase, with notable growth in South-East Asia.

Strategic Acquisitions and Expansions

During the reporting period, Sika Ltd made strategic acquisitions, including Kwik Bond in the USA and Vinaldom in the Dominican Republic, to strengthen its market position. Additionally, the company expanded its production capabilities by opening new plants in Peru and China and significantly increasing capacity at its Indonesian facility, enhancing its ability to meet growing demand in key markets.
