The iShares MSCI USA Screened ETF is designed to mirror the MSCI USA Screened Index, which is made up of U.S. companies that meet specific ethical and sustainability criteria. The underlying portfolio is carefully selected to exclude firms involved in nuclear weapons, controversial tobacco or firearms activities, thermal coal power generation, fossil fuel extraction, palm oil production, arctic oil and gas extraction, and other serious controversies. This means the fund focuses on U.S. equities that have passed these screens in order to offer exposure to companies aligned with certain responsible business practices.
