General Objective
The investment objective of the Fund is to achieve long-term capital appreciation. The Fund is actively managed and not constrained by any index or benchmark in the selection of investments. The performance of the Fund is measured against the MSCI Emerging Markets Gross Total Return Index for the calculation of performance fees.
Fund Exposure
The Fund primarily invests in equity and equity related securities of companies listed on or dealt in Recognised Markets in emerging markets or generating the bulk of their earnings in emerging markets. The Fund takes long positions for investment purposes with a maximum anticipated long exposure of 115% of its Net Asset Value. It may also take short exposures for hedging purposes with a maximum anticipated exposure of 20% of its Net Asset Value.
Risks
Investors should be aware that the Fund may use derivatives for investment purposes and efficient portfolio management, as well as enter into Repurchase Agreements and Stocklending Agreements. The Fund's investments have no industrial or sectoral focus, and no more than 20% of the Net Asset Value may be invested in the Russian market. An investment in the Fund is designed to be a long-term investment of typically 7 years, and investors should not expect short-term gains.
