What is the “Circle of Young Humanitarians”?
The Circle of Young Humanitarians (CYH) is a non-profit association based in Zurich that was established by three young women in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Spring 2021. Today it is a team of 40 students and young professionals who dedicate their time for free towards the initiative. Their aim is to address young people's views on conflicts and other humanitarian emergencies through their platform in order to promote an open and effective dialogue between the next generation and the humanitarian world.
Making a difference in the World
We at UMushroom believe that investing and humanitarian resources go hand in hand. We encourage people to invest based on their values, to support the changes they want to see in the world. Together with the Circle of Young Humanitarians, we hope to highlight this principle and emphasize the impact we can make through investing responsibly.
Which is why our co-founders Luba Schoeing and Tonia Zimmermann created a portfolio that will help participants learn from their professional knowledge and experience of a combined 50 years in the banking industry. The portfolio is kindly sponsored by Invesco with CHF 2'000 and the amount will be donated to support the Circle of Young Humanitarians.
Follow the Example Portfolio
Keep an eye out for the updates of the example portfolio as the UMushroom Cofounders will share their strategy. Why they select, buy or sell certain assets will all be updated for you to get a better understanding of how professionals in the industry approach the topic. We recommend you also get in the habit of keeping a journal of your actions. This way you will have a record of your past behaviour and market reactions to evaluate and establish any patterns that might need improvement.
