Compagnie de Saint-Gobain SA engages in the design, manufacture, and distribution of materials and services for the construction and industrial markets. Its brands include CertainTeed, Gyproc, ISOVER, Weber, Placo, British Gypsum, Rigips, bassetts, brasilit, and cebrace. The company belongs to one of the oldest companies worldwide and was founded in 1665. It is headquartered in Courbevoie, France. 

Saint-Gobain has recently announced two acquisitions on the attractive non-residential flooring market, further strengthening its presence in this construction chemicals segment. R.SOL is a French manufacturer of resin-based flooring solutions, reinforcing Saint-Gobain’s position in this field thanks to its differentiating technology and large customer base. The second company, Technical Finishes is a leading South African player in resin flooring solutions. It is expected to strengthen Saint-Gobain’s profitable growth in South Africa and the remaining part of the African continent. The two acquisitions will build up the leadership position of Saint-Gobain in flooring solutions, complementing its existing offering. They are in line with Saint-Gobain's strategic plan "Grow & Impact" which aims to enrich its range of solutions for light and sustainable construction.

  • The consensus of the bank analysts is "buy." Of 19 analysts covering the share, 15 rate the stock with "Buy,” 4 with "Hold," and no analyst recommends selling the stock.     

  • The average expected upside of the stock price for the next six to twelve months is currently ca 18.6% (closing price on 23/01/2024)
