Stock of the Week "Delta Airlines Inc "

Delta Air Lines, Inc. is one of the largest and most successful airlines in the United States. The company was founded in 1924 as a crop-dusting service and was led for 40 years by Collet Everman Woolman, an agricultural scientist and pilot. Delta has since expanded its route network to serve 221 cities in 48 states and 118 cities in 47 foreign countries. 

Delta recently showcased its sustainability strategy at the second annual SkyTeam Alliance Sustainable Flight Challenge. The challenge aims to test sustainable solutions as the company strives to achieve zero emissions by 2050 while providing a better and more sustainable travel experience. During the event, Delta flights demonstrated the company's strategy in action, including using electric ground equipment, reducing single-use plastic on board, and implementing measures to reduce emissions. 

Delta has taken a big step towards achieving its sustainability goals by announcing the purchase of up to 38 million liters of pure and sustainable fuel (SAF) from Shell Aviation. The fuel will be used at Delta's Los Angeles International Airport hub over two years. This move will increase the airline's SAF commitments to over 750 million liters, which is already more than half of their goal of using sustainable fuel to account for around 10% of their total fuel consumption annually by the end of 2030. It is highly achievable that the sustainable fuel consumption will reach almost 35% by 2035.

• The consensus of the bank analysts is "buy." Of 22 analysts covering the share, 21 rates the 

stock with "Buy" and 1 with "Hold.” No analyst recommends selling the stock. 

• The average expected upside of the stock price for the next six to twelve months is currently 61% (closing price on 06/11/2023)
