Financial Performance Overview

In the first half of the fiscal year 2023/24, Beta Systems Software AG reported a decline in both EBITDA and EBIT compared to the previous year, primarily due to lower license revenues which were within expected cyclical fluctuations. Maintenance revenues, however, showed an expected increase. Acquisition of InfiniteDATA

On October 4, 2023, Beta Systems Software AG, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Beta Systems DCI Software AG, acquired 100% of the shares of InfiniteDATA Sp. z o.o., based in Warsaw, Poland. This acquisition includes a business unit in Manila, Philippines. InfiniteDATA, recognized as a technology leader in the September 2023 EMA Radar for Workload Automation, will continue to operate as an independent company within the Beta Systems Group, maintaining its direct customer relationships and existing management.

Divestiture of PROXESS Holdings

Beta Systems Software AG completed the sale of all shares in PROXESS Holding GmbH to Easy Software AG on November 16, 2023. Previously, Beta Systems held 87% of the shares, with the remaining owned by PROXESS management. This divestiture aligns with Beta Systems' strategy to focus more on its core business areas. The transaction resulted in a gain of approximately €2.2 million for the fiscal year 2023/24.

Revenue and Earnings Report

For the period from October 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024, Beta Systems Software AG posted consolidated revenues of €37.7 million from continued operations, down from €42.1 million in the previous year. The decrease is attributed to lower license revenues due to fewer renewals in the DCI business area, although maintenance revenues increased. The company reported an EBITDA of €5.7 million and an EBIT of €2.9 million for the period, reflecting the overall lower performance compared to the previous year.

Segment Performance

During the first half of fiscal year 2023/24, Beta Systems Software AG saw varying performance across different geographical segments. The DACH region generated €20.8 million in revenues, down 16% from the previous year. Other European regions and North America also experienced declines in revenue, reflecting the cyclical nature of contract renewals and the overall challenging market conditions impacting the sector.
