Net Income

Enel Chile SA reported a net income attributable to shareholders of Ch$ 250,824 million for the first half of 2024, which is Ch$ 113,743 million higher than the net income for the same period in 2023. This increase is primarily due to a more efficient generation mix and higher energy sales, despite a decrease in gas sales. For Q2 2024, the company achieved a net income of Ch$ 102,258 million, a significant improvement from the Ch$ 26,726 million loss in Q2 2023.

Operating Revenues

Operating revenues for Enel Chile SA increased by 8.0% to Ch$ 2,312,352 million as of June 2024, driven mainly by higher energy sales in both the Generation and Distribution and Networks business segments. In Q2 2024, operating revenues saw a substantial rise of 33.3% to Ch$ 1,259,556 million, again primarily due to increased energy sales.

EBITDA

Enel Chile SA's EBITDA for the first half of 2024 increased by 74.3% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching Ch$ 561,743 million. For Q2 2024, EBITDA was Ch$ 283,716 million, a significant improvement from Ch$ 44,134 million in Q2 2023, reflecting the company's enhanced operational efficiency and higher sales.

Financial Expenses

Financial expenses for Enel Chile SA increased slightly from Ch$ 47,852 million in the first half of 2023 to Ch$ 48,579 million as of June 2024, mainly due to higher financial costs. In Q2 2024, financial expenses were Ch$ 51,672 million, which is Ch$ 20,720 million higher than in Q2 2023, largely due to increased losses from exchange rate differences.

New Capacity Additions

During the first half of 2024, Enel Chile SA, through its subsidiary Enel Green Power Chile, added 250 MW of net additional capacity. This includes the connection of the Don Humberto photovoltaic power plant (81 MW) and its energy storage system BESS (67 MW), as well as the battery energy storage systems of El Manzano (67 MW) and La Cabaña 2 (34 MW) power plants.
