ARR Growth in Focus Industries

Exasol AG saw a 28% increase in ARR within its focus industries, reaching EUR 26.6 million in H1 2025 compared to EUR 20.6 million in H1 2024. The proportion of ARR from these industries rose by 17 percentage points to 69%, driven by expanded business with key customer Finanz Informatik, where annual business volume doubled and contract terms were extended by four years.

Revenue Increase Driven by Hardware and Services

The company's revenue grew by 10.8% to EUR 21.5 million in H1 2025 from EUR 19.4 million in the previous year. This growth was primarily fueled by a significant rise in hardware and service sales within focus industries, as customers increasingly sourced the Exasol Analytics Engine along with necessary hardware, installation, and maintenance services from a single provider.

Improved EBITDA and Group Earnings

Exasol AG achieved an EBITDA of EUR 2.0 million in H1 2025, a substantial increase from EUR 0.7 million in H1 2024. Group earnings also saw improvement, reaching EUR 1.4 million compared to a loss of EUR 0.3 million in the same period last year, reflecting enhanced operational performance.

Strong Net Cash Position

The company bolstered its net cash reserves to EUR 22.2 million as of June 30, 2025, up from EUR 15.0 million at the end of 2024. This robust cash position provides Exasol AG with strategic flexibility to drive innovation and support ongoing growth initiatives, particularly as the customer base shifts further towards focus industries.

Future Outlook

Exasol AG maintains its guidance for mid-single-digit growth in ARR and revenue for the full year 2025, along with an expected EBITDA increase of at least 50% to between EUR 3.0 million and EUR 4.0 million. The Management Board anticipates that strong ARR growth in core markets will counterbalance the adjustments in non-focus industries, positioning the company for continued momentum in the second half of the year.
