Revenue Growth

Sales reached $2.8 billion, marking a 5% year-over-year increase. The Software and Services segment saw a 15% growth, while Products and Systems Integration sales remained flat. Revenue from acquisitions contributed $39 million, and foreign currency tailwinds added $9 million.

Earnings Performance

GAAP earnings per share (EPS) were $3.04, up 17% compared to the same quarter last year. Non-GAAP EPS stood at $3.57, reflecting a 10% increase. Operating margins also improved, with GAAP operating margin at 25.0% and non-GAAP operating margin at 29.6%.

Cash Flow and Capital Allocation

Operating cash flow surged to $272 million, an increase of $92 million from the previous year. Free cash flow doubled to $224 million. The company repurchased $218 million of common stock, paid $182 million in dividends, and invested $48 million in capital expenditures.

Strategic Acquisition

Subsequent to the quarter, Motorola Solutions acquired Silvus Technologies for $4.4 billion, funded through new long-term senior notes, term loans, and cash on hand. This acquisition is expected to enhance the company's technological capabilities and market position.

For the third quarter of 2025, Motorola Solutions anticipates a 7% revenue growth and non-GAAP EPS between $3.82 and $3.87. The full-year 2025 outlook has been raised to approximately $11.65 billion in revenue and non-GAAP EPS between $14.88 and $14.98, reflecting continued confidence in the company's growth trajectory.
