Revenue and Profit Growth

Net revenues for Q2 2025 increased by 5% year-over-year to $8.3 billion, maintaining the same growth rate on a currency-neutral basis. GAAP operating income rose by 14% to $1.5 billion, while non-GAAP operating income saw an 18% increase to $1.6 billion. Both GAAP and non-GAAP operating margins expanded by over 130 basis points.

Enhanced Earnings Per Share

Earnings per diluted share (EPS) saw significant growth, with GAAP EPS increasing by 20% to $1.29 and non-GAAP EPS rising by 18% to $1.40 in Q2 2025 compared to the previous year.

Transaction Volume and Active Accounts

Total payment volume (TPV) grew by 6% to $443.5 billion, while active accounts increased by 2% to reach 438 million. Despite a 5% decline in payment transactions overall, excluding payment service provider transactions, there was a 6% increase, indicating a shift in transaction dynamics.

Strong Cash Flow and Shareholder Returns

PayPal generated $0.9 billion in cash flow from operations and $0.7 billion in free cash flow during the quarter. Additionally, the company returned $1.5 billion to stockholders through share repurchases, contributing to a total of $6.0 billion returned over the trailing twelve months.

Raised Full-Year Guidance

Building on the quarter's momentum, PayPal has raised its full-year transaction margin dollar and EPS guidance. The company remains optimistic about its strategic transformation initiatives, including advancements in agentic commerce, advertising, stablecoins, and PayPal World, which are expected to drive further growth and global reach.
