Net Income and Earnings Per Share

In the fiscal fourth quarter of 2024, Visa Inc. reported a GAAP net income of $5.3 billion, translating to $2.65 per share. This marks an increase of 14% in net income and 17% in earnings per share compared to the previous year. On a non-GAAP basis, net income was $5.4 billion or $2.71 per share, reflecting increases of 13% and 16%, respectively.

Non-GAAP net income for the year was $20.4 billion or $10.05 per share, showing increases of 12% and 15%, respectively.

Transaction and Volume Metrics

Throughout fiscal year 2024, Visa Inc. experienced an 8% increase in payments volume and a 15% rise in cross-border volume, excluding intra-Europe transactions, on a constant-dollar basis. Total processed transactions for the year reached 233.8 billion, marking a 10% increase over the prior year.

Dividends and Shareholder Returns

Visa Inc. returned $6.8 billion to shareholders through share repurchases and dividends in the fiscal fourth quarter of 2024, and $20.9 billion for the full year. Additionally, the board of directors approved a 13% increase in the quarterly cash dividend, raising it to $0.590 per share.
