This growth was driven by a 6.7% increase in system-wide same-store sales (SSS). The company also achieved system-wide store sales of $3.1 billion, marking its 18th consecutive year of SSS growth.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Valvoline Inc. achieved a 12% growth in sales from continuing operations, amounting to $436 million. The company's income from continuing operations grew by 19% to $89 million, with EPS increasing by 26% to $0.68. Adjusted EPS for the quarter rose by 18% to $0.46.

Store Expansion

Valvoline Inc. expanded its network by adding 158 net stores during the fiscal year 2024, with over half of these being ground-up builds. In the fourth quarter alone, the company added 49 stores, comprising 13 franchised and 36 company-operated locations. The total system-wide store count reached 2,010 by the end of the fiscal year.

Shareholder Returns and Outlook

Valvoline Inc. returned $227 million to shareholders through share repurchases in fiscal 2024. Looking ahead to fiscal year 2025, the company expects to achieve a 10% to 14% growth in top-line sales, targeting revenues between $1.67 billion and $1.73 billion. The adjusted EBITDA is projected to be in the range of $450 million to $470 million.
