WisdomTree NASDAQ 100 5x Daily Short is designed to magnify the inverse daily movements of the NASDAQ 100 by five times. It achieves this by holding a portfolio of E-mini NASDAQ 100 Index Futures contracts with the nearest quarterly expiration on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. The fund regularly rolls these futures contracts each quarter to maintain its consistent fivefold short exposure. As a result, if the NASDAQ 100 decreases by 1% in a day, the fund aims to increase by 5%, and if the index rises by 1%, the fund aims to decrease by 5%.
