The fund aims to passively reflect the performance of the STOXX® Europe 600 Basic Resources Index, which includes leading companies involved in forestry and paper, industrial metals, and mining in Western Europe.

The fund is exposed to companies in the forestry and paper, industrial metals, and mining sectors in Western Europe. It uses financial contracts with swap counterparties to swap subscription proceeds for the return on the index. The largest company in the index cannot exceed 30% and the second largest cannot exceed 15% at each quarterly review date.

The fund does not directly invest in index components, relying on derivatives instead. There is a risk of loss if swap counterparties fail to make payments.
