Investment Objective The investment objective of the Sub-Fund is to outperform the MSCI World Index ACWI (Net Total Return) (the "Index") over the recommended minimum investment period of 5 years and generate long-term capital growth. The Sub-Fund will invest in companies that contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals designed to be a scheme to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all and to generate social and/or environmental change with a focus on people inclusion, access to basic needs and wellbeing and offer superior financial growth prospect. The Index serves as benchmark for purposes of risk management and reference only. For the avoidance of doubt, the Index has not been designated as the reference benchmark for the Sub-Fund’s sustainable investment objective. Whilst Sub-Fund's securities may be components of the Index, the Sub-Fund will not necessarily invest only in the Index constituents and the Investment Manager has significant freedom to invest in a portfolio that is materially different from the Index own composition. The Sub-Fund is actively managed and the Investment Manager may invest, within the scope of its Impact objectives and ESG Policy, in companies, sectors, countries and security types not included in the Index in order to take advantage of sustainable investment opportunities. The Sub-Fund is a sustainable investment Sub-Fund within the meaning of Article 9 of the SFDR. Investment Policy The majority of assets held in the portfolio are invested in equity securities, equity related securities, such as warrants, issued by companies worldwide (including emerging markets) that offer technologies, products or services in the fields of financial inclusion, nutrition and food, affordable healthcare, wellbeing and education. The remaining part of assets held in the portfolio are invested in companies with strategic investments supporting a business model transformation towards an impact goal (transitioning companies) and/or companies which activities are essential to the value chain of impact companies (enablers). The Investment Manager integrates a sustainable approach in the selection process by including non-financial criteria, so as to favour companies whose ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) criteria reflect the search for sustainable growth and excludes activities which are the most destructive of natural capital and human well-being. The Investment Manager will only invest in companies that have a clear contribution to at least one sustainable development goal of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment sustainability goals. In selecting such investments the Investment Manager will apply its internal Impact and ESG policy (available at www.asteria-im.com). Each target issuer within the investment universe is analyzed on the basis of the ESG criteria with the aim to exclude the ones that could be potentially exposed to ESG controversies and/or with lower ESG profiles. In addition the strategy also excludes companies that: 1) have significantly and repeatedly violated one of the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, covering human and labor rights, the environment and the fight against corruption; or 2) are exposed, to some extent, to controversial activities (such as tobacco, thermal coal, armament, etc). The strategy does not allow investing in companies that manufacture, use or own anti-personnel mines, cluster bombs, chemical, biological, white phosphorus and nuclear weapons. The Sub-Fund may invest in Hong Kong (via H shares traded in HKD and American Depositary Receipts both traded on the HKEK) and in Russia (via H shares traded on the MICEX-RTS). The Sub-Fund may invest in financial derivative instruments, such as options, FX forwards, futures and swaps for hedging and efficient portfolio management. The Sub-Fund does not currently use SFTs nor TRS as provided under SFTR and has no intention to use it. Fund Currency The reference currency of the Sub-Fund is USD. Income Income generated will be reinvested. Investment Horizon This Sub-Fund is suitable for investors with an investment horizon of five years of more. Subscription and Redemption Investors may subscribe, convert and redeem on any day on which banks are open for normal business in Luxembourg.
