General Objective
The objective of this fund is to provide high current income generation and, where appropriate, capital appreciation.
Fund Exposure
The fund primarily invests in a portfolio of high yield corporate debt instruments worldwide, focusing on North American and European high yield instruments. It also invests to a lesser extent in other types of debt instruments such as other types of high yield corporate debt instruments, investment grade bonds, other Funds, cash and cash-equivalent securities, and money market instruments. The fund will invest at least 50% of the Fund’s total assets in fixed income instruments of companies that exhibit positive or improving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) characteristics.
Risks
Some of the risks associated with this fund include the potential for losses if an organization through which assets are bought fails to meet its obligations, the use of derivative instruments which can result in profit or loss, changes in exchange rates between the currency of the fund and the currencies in which the assets are valued, and the risks of investing in low rated (high yield) or equivalent unrated debt securities. Additionally, there are greater risks investing in emerging markets than in developed markets due to economic, political, or structural challenges.
