OBJECTIVE To provide a positive absolute return in all market conditions. POLICY The Fund will: – invest primarily in Europe, including the UK; – invest in company shares (i.e. equities) and similar investments; – take positions in specific pairs of company shares or similar investments. The Fund will increase exposure (i.e. hold a long position) to the investment it favours and short (using derivatives) the investment it does not favour; – invest in derivatives (financial instruments whose value is derived from other assets) to help achieve the Fund's investment objective. The Fund will also use derivatives with the aim of risk or cost reduction or to generate additional capital or income; – invest on a long and short basis; – invest significantly in cash and cash-like investments; and – limit investment in other collective investment schemes to 10%. The Fund may: – invest in countries which may be considered emerging markets in Europe. Benchmark: The Fund will measure its performance against SONIA 30-day compounded (the "Cash Benchmark"). SONIA (Sterling Over Night Index Average) is a measure of the rate at which interest is paid on sterling short-term wholesale funds in circumstances where credit, liquidity and other risks are minimal. On each London business day, SONIA is measured as the trimmed mean, rounded to four decimal places, of interest rates paid on eligible sterling denominated deposit transactions. SONIA is a nearly risk-free rate meaning no bank credit risk is included, the rate can rise or fall as a result of central bank policy decisions or changing economic conditions. The Cash Benchmark is used as a target against which to measure its performance on a rolling 12 month basis after fees. The Fund is actively managed, which means the Investment Manager has discretion over the selection of investments, subject to the investment objective and policies disclosed in the Prospectus. OTHER INFORMATION Share Class Hedging: The Fund's base currency is GBP whereas this share class currency is EUR. In order to reduce the risk of exchange rate movements between the share class currency and the base currency, a hedging strategy is used, although its outcome is not guaranteed. Treatment of income: net income from investments will be retained within the Fund and reflected in the value of your shares. Dealing: you can buy and sell your shares in the Fund between 9:00 and 17:00 (Irish time) on each business day in Ireland. Instructions received before 12:00 will receive the price quoted on that day. The minimum initial investment for this share class is EUR 5,000.
