The Fund’s investment objective is to achieve capital appreciation through investing in equity or equity related assets of companies whose operations are focused mainly in, or which derive a signifi‐ cant amount of revenue from China, Hong Kong or Macau and listed in China and Hong Kong. The Fund shall invest usually 70% of its Net Asset Value in China A‐Shares via the securities trading and clearing linked programme with an aim to achieve mutual stock market access between China and Hong Kong (i.e. the Shanghai‐Hong Kong Stock Connect and the Shenzhen‐Hong Kong Stock Connect (collectively, the ”Stock Con‐ nect”)) and the QFI status of the Investment Manager. The Fund targets to generate a return higher than the performance benchmark, which is MSCI China A Onshore Index (the “Benchmark Index”) and uses the Benchmark Index for performance comparison purposes. In addition, the Fund’s investment universe is expected to overlap usually 70% with the components of the Benchmark Index. However, the Fund is actively managed by the Investment Manager with complete discretion with respect to portfolio allocation and overall level of exposure to the market. The Investment Manager is not in any way constrained by the Benchmark Index in its portfo‐ lio positioning and have absolute discretion to invest in companies or sectors not included in the Benchmark Index. The Fund will not invest into mortgage‐backed securities (MBS) and asset‐backed securities (ABS). The Fund will not invest more than 10% of its net assets in units or shares of other UCITS or other UCIs. The Fund may also invest in total return swaps in order to achieve its investment objective. The expected level of exposure that could be subject to total return swaps (unfunded) fluctuates between 0 % and 10% of the Fund’s net assets, the latter being the maximum. Redemptions in the Fund can be made on any Business Day in Lux‐ embourg and Hong Kong. The Shares of the Fund are Distribution Shares and the Fund intends to distribute dividends to investors. Terms to Understand ‐China A‐Share: A‐shares is an expression designating shares that trade on the two Chinese stock exchanges‐. A‐shares are shares of mainland‐China‐based companies and were historically only avail‐ able for purchase by mainland citizens. Since June 2020, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (”SAFE”) has removed invest‐ ment quota limits to further open up mainland China’s financial markets and to better facilitate foreign investors’ participation in the Chinese financial markets through the QFII/RQFII (Qualified For‐ eign Institutional Investor/Renminbi Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor) license and other channels available.
