The IQAM Strategic Commodity Fund aims to capture the performance of a wide variety of commodities by using derivative swaps linked to the Spängler IQAM Commodity Index. To balance this, the fund invests up to 80% of its assets in high-quality euro-denominated government bonds, money market instruments, cover bonds, and cash. This diversified approach ensures that the commodity exposure never exceeds the total fund assets, while maintaining strong credit ratings for the bond holdings. Additionally, any other derivatives in the portfolio are used only to protect against changes in foreign currency values.
