iShares Euro Long Duration Government Bond Index Fund (IE) Class Flexible EUR Accumulation

The Fund aims to provide a total return, taking into account both capital and income returns, which reflects the return of the Bloomberg Core Euro Government Bonds Long Duration Index (the “Index”). The Fund is passively managed and invests in the fixed income (FI) securities (such as bonds) that make up the Index. The Index is comprised of Euro denominated government bonds from core European domiciles. At the time of purchase, the FI securities will be rated investment grade (i.e. meet a specified level of credit worthiness) or are deemed, by the investment manager, to be of an equivalent rating. If the credit rating of a FI security is downgraded, the Fund may continue to hold this until it is practicable to sell the position. The Fund uses optimising techniques to achieve a similar return to its Index. The Fund may hold certain FI securities which are/were eligible for inclusion in the Index, but which are not currently components of the Index, where such FI securities provide similar performance (with matching risk profile) to FI securities that make up the Index. The Fund will also employ stratified sampling, where the market is divided into segments and FI securities are selected from each segment to match the risk characteristics of the Index. The Fund’s investments will normally be listed or traded on regulated markets. The Fund may also invest in collective investment schemes (i.e. other investment funds which may be associated with the IM), derivatives, cash and money market instruments (i.e. debt securities with short-term maturities). The Fund may invest in financial derivative instruments (FDIs) (i.e. investments the prices of which are based on one or more underlying assets) for direct investment and/or efficient portfolio management purposes.
