The Fund aims to help your investment grow by closely matching the performance of the FTSE World North America Index, which tracks leading listed companies in the United States and Canada. In practice, it invests mainly in equity securities, such as shares, of the companies that make up the benchmark index, and seeks to hold them in similar proportions to the index’s free float-adjusted market capitalisation weights. Because the Fund is passively managed, the investment manager has limited discretion and focuses on replicating the benchmark rather than trying to pick winners or time the market. The portfolio is therefore built to follow the index composition as closely as possible, using the benchmark as the guide for investment selection and portfolio balance. The Fund may also use short-term secured lending of its investments to eligible third parties, mainly to help generate additional income and offset costs.
