The Sub-Fund will invest up to 90% of its Net Asset Value in a globally diversified portfolio of Equity and Equity-Related Securities as well as seek to gain indirect exposure to Equity and Equity-Related Securities through shares and units of collective investment schemes ("CIS"). The Sub-Fund will invest the balance of the Sub-Fund's assets in a wide range of other asset types, namely fixed income instruments such as bonds, cash, cash equivalents and money market instruments (including U.S. treasury bills, investment grade corporate bonds, cash deposits, commercial paper, short term money market deposits and certificates of deposit), as well as both commodity-related and property-related securities though it will not invest directly in commodities or property. Exposure to commodities will be obtained either via investment in other CIS (both open and closed-ended) or via investment in financial derivative instruments. Similarly, property-related exposure may be obtained via investment in real estate investment trusts ("REITs") and/or other debt securities issued by REITs. The Sub-Fund may use futures, swaps (including total return swaps), credit default swaps, options and forwards to obtain exposure, on a long and short basis. The securities and exchange traded derivatives in which the Sub-Fund will invest will be listed or traded on Recognised Markets. However, the Sub-Fund may invest up to 20% in securities of issuers in Emerging Markets or of issuers established outside of Emerging Markets, which have a predominant proportion of their assets or business operations in Emerging Markets. The Sub-Fund may invest up to a maximum of 20% of its Net Asset Value in REITs listed or traded on Recognised Markets. The Sub-Fund may invest up to 100% of its Net Asset Value in UCITS, the investment in AIFs will not, in aggregate, exceed 30% of its Net Asset Value, and it may invest up to 15% of its total assets in UCITS eligible commodity-related financial derivative instruments. Under normal market conditions, it is expected that long positions held by the Sub-Fund will represent up to 100% of the Net Asset Value of the Sub-Fund at any one time and short positions held by the Sub-Fund will represent up to 50% of the Net Asset Value of the Sub-Fund at any one time, , with an expectation that short positions shall not exceed 20% of the Net Asset Value of the Sub-Fund. At any one time, the value of the long positions and the short positions held by the Sub-Fund should not exceed 150% of the Net Asset Value of the Sub-Fund, in aggregate. Subscription and Redemption You can buy or sell shares of the Sub-Fund on any business day that banks are open in Dublin, Ireland and London, United Kingdom. You must submit your application to the Sub-Fund's Administrator before 12.00 p.m on the business day you want to buy or sell. Income Your shares do not pay income, but instead the Sub-Fund reinvests such income to grow your capital. Benchmark The Sub-Fund is actively managed, meaning the Investment Manager actively selects and invests the securities in which the Sub-Fund invests with the aim of meeting the investment objective of the Sub-Fund, and is not managed with reference to any benchmark.
