MS Liquidity Fds US Dollar Liquidity Fd aims to provide ready access to liquidity and generate an attractive level of income relative to short-term interest rates, while seeking to preserve capital. It does this by investing in a portfolio of high-quality, short-term US dollar-denominated money market and debt instruments, with maturities of no more than 397 days, including commercial paper, certificates of deposit, government bonds, corporate bonds and asset-backed securities. The fund may also hold ancillary liquid assets such as bank deposits and may use reverse repurchase agreements for efficient portfolio management, buying securities from other financial institutions and agreeing to resell them later. Because it is actively managed and not tied to a benchmark, the portfolio manager has flexibility to choose instruments, adjust exposures and manage liquidity and risk in line with the fund’s short-term, capital-preservation focus.
