Mutuafondo Bonos Financieros FI is a mixed fixed income fund that primarily invests in bonds issued by European financial institutions like banks, credit companies, and insurance firms. At least half of its portfolio consists of euro-denominated fixed income securities, including subordinated debt, which ranks below regular creditors in case of issuer issues. Up to 35% of the fund is allocated to contingent convertible bonds, which can turn into shares or have their principal reduced if certain conditions are met. The remaining investments are made in other private fixed income instruments, deposits, and occasionally in public bonds from Eurozone or OECD countries. While the focus is mainly on European issuers, the fund may also include investments from other regions, including emerging markets.
