General Objective
The Emerging Local Bond Fund aims to provide efficient exposure to fast-growing emerging markets by investing 80% of its assets in fixed income securities denominated in the local currencies of emerging countries. The fund may use derivatives and may or may not hedge its exposure to non-US currencies.
Fund Exposure
The fund is characterized by its exposure to high interest rates in emerging market countries and to the appreciation of emerging market currencies. It has a low correlation to other asset classes and leverages PIMCO's disciplined investment process and expertise in local market inefficiencies to overcome complex investment entry barriers.

The Emerging Local Bond Fund is exposed to various risks including credit and default risk, currency risk, derivatives and counterparty risk, emerging markets risk, liquidity risk, interest rate risk, and mortgage-related and other asset-backed securities risks.
