Schroder ISF Global Credit Income is a bond-focused fund that mainly holds government and corporate debt from around the world (including emerging markets), with at least two‑thirds of the portfolio in investment‑grade and high‑yield bonds and the ability to have more than half of its assets in below‑investment‑grade (high‑yield) bonds. It can also put up to 20% into asset‑backed and mortgage‑backed securities, up to 10% into convertible bonds (including contingent convertibles), up to 10% into other open‑ended funds, and up to one‑third into other securities or asset classes such as warrants, money‑market instruments and cash. The manager tries to limit losses by shifting exposure away from parts of the market judged most likely to suffer large declines, though that protection isn’t guaranteed.
