The Navajo Fund primarily invests at least 80% of its portfolio in global equities, including up to 10% in emerging markets and investment trusts. When the investment managers believe that equity markets are overvalued or experiencing stress, they may reduce the equity portion to around 60% and allocate up to 40% to a mix of bonds, alternative investments such as hedge funds and precious metals, as well as money market instruments and cash.
