The UBAM Emerging Markets Frontier Bond fund focuses on growing capital and generating income by investing primarily in fixed and variable rate bonds from frontier countries. Its portfolio is composed mainly of hard currency bonds, such as those in USD and EUR, issued by public authorities or quasi-sovereign entities, with at least two-thirds of the assets rated B or higher. Up to one-third of the investments can include lower-rated or nonrated issuers, as well as frontier corporate bonds and contingent convertible (CoCo) bonds. The fund may also use derivatives to increase exposure and allocate a portion of its holdings to local currencies, ensuring a diversified approach within high-yield and corporate fixed income instruments in emerging frontier markets.
