The sub-fund is a feeder fund with the same investment objective as the master fund, i.e. capital growth. The feeder fund invests at least 85% of its net assets in units in the master fund, Alma Platinum IV UBS Multi Strategy Alternatives. The remaining 15% may be invested in liquid assets. The master fund is a multi-manager fund that invests in various submanagers and alternative investment strategies. These sub-managers invest in highly diverse investment instruments and use highly diverse investment strategies and techniques. These can include: equity hedge strategies, in which underlying shares are acquired but hedged using derivatives; relative value strategies, where the fund seeks to exploit advantages based on differences in valuations/prices; trading strategies, where the fund aims to generate added value through active management; and credit/income strategies, where the fund invests in highly diverse securitised instruments. The fund can also use derivative instruments (for effective portfolio management or hedging). The master fund makes significant use of derivatives for both hedging and investment purposes, which means that its expected gross leverage can be up to 3,000%. The subfund is actively managed, without reference to a benchmark. In principle, investors may ask the Management Company to redeem their units on any business day in Luxembourg.
