Vanguard UK Long Duration Gilt Index Fd primarily invests in long-term UK government bonds, known as gilts, with maturities of over 15 years. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of a major UK government bond index by holding a diverse, market-cap weighted selection of easily tradable gilts. More than 35% of its assets are allocated to securities issued or guaranteed by the UK government. As a passive fund, it mirrors the index closely through a representative portfolio and may use financial contracts to help manage risk or reduce costs.
