The India Cements Limited is a Chennai-based cement manufacturing company, incorporated on February 21, 1946 and headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Founded by S. N. N. Sankaralinga Iyer, the company operated for decades under the leadership of N. Srinivasan. In December 2024, UltraTech Cement (Aditya Birla Group) acquired a majority stake in India Cements for ₹7,096.35 crore, making India Cements a subsidiary of UltraTech. The company has seven integrated cement plants in Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, one in Rajasthan (through its subsidiary Trinetra Cement), and two grinding units, with a total capacity of 15.6 million tonnes per annum.
