WENG FINE ART AG has delivered robust results for the fiscal year 2021, showcasing strong sales growth, enhanced profitability, and a significantly improved equity ratio. The company demonstrated resilient performance in a dynamic art market environment, underpinned by rising revenues and effective cost control, positioning itself well for future opportunities.

Sales & Revenues

The group’s sales revenues increased by 25.2%, rising from EUR 10,433k in 2020 to EUR 13,062k in 2021. This impressive growth, coupled with an improved gross profit margin (from 71.8% to 84.6%), laid the foundation for stronger overall trading performance.

Trading Income & Profitability

Trading profit saw a solid increase of 37.2%, moving from EUR 4,360k to EUR 5,984k. Despite a reduction in cost growth—the group's costs climbed by only 15.1%—the operating results remain robust. Notably, EBIT declined slightly primarily due to adjustments for non-recurring income from the previous year.

Net Income & Dividend Distribution

Group net income for the year reached EUR 4,246k, while consolidated net profits were reported at EUR 6,400k after reserve allocations. Based on these strong results, Swiss ArtXX AG and the German WFA AG plan to distribute dividends of CHF 1,085k and EUR 865k, respectively, to their shareholders.

Balance Sheet Strength

Equity strength improved markedly, with shareholders’ equity rising by 47.9% from EUR 15,044k to EUR 22,249k, and the equity ratio advancing from 46.4% to 56.5%. This stronger balance sheet, combined with reduced liabilities and access to equity and credit lines totaling around EUR 50 million, positions WENG FINE ART AG in a favorable spot to navigate challenging economic environments.
