Wise PLC reported strong financial performance for Q4 FY25, showcasing significant growth in cross-border volumes, active customer base, and underlying income. The company continues to advance its vision of becoming the global network for money, supported by strategic expansions and innovative product offerings.

Robust Growth in Cross-Border Volumes

In Q4 FY25, Wise cross-border volumes surged by 28% year-over-year to reach £39.1 billion. For the full fiscal year, cross-border volume increased by 23% to £145.2 billion, driven by the greater adoption of Wise account features and a growing customer base.

Expanding Active Customer Base

Wise's active customers grew by 17% year-over-year to 9.3 million in Q4 FY25, with the total customer holdings rising by 33% to £21.5 billion. For the entire fiscal year, the number of active customers increased by 21% to 15.6 million.

Strengthened Underlying Income

Underlying income for Q4 FY25 reached £350.4 million, marking a 15% year-over-year growth on a constant currency basis and a 13% increase on a reported basis. For the fiscal year, underlying income grew by 16% to £1.36 billion on a reported basis and 18% on a constant currency basis.

Improved Profit Margins and Take Rate

The cross-border take rate decreased by 3 basis points to 53 basis points in Q4 FY25, reflecting a higher proportion of higher volume customers. The preliminary underlying PBT margin for FY25 was approximately 20%, with expectations for FY26 remaining around the top of the 13–16% target range.

Strategic Expansion and Product Innovations

Wise expanded its global footprint by launching services in Mexico and rolling out the Wise Business account in Hong Kong. Additionally, partnerships such as the Wise Platform collaboration with Itaú Unibanco in Latin America and the introduction of the Interest feature in Australia demonstrate Wise's commitment to long-term growth and enhancing customer offerings.
