Wise PLC reported its unaudited interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2025, demonstrating strong growth in key areas despite some margin pressure. The company delivered an 11% increase in revenue to £658.0m and boosted underlying income by 13% to £749.5m, even as underlying operating profit decreased by 15%. With an 18% rise in active customers and a 24% uplift in cross-border volume to £84.9bn, Wise PLC is investing significantly in infrastructure and product enhancements to capture a larger share of the global cross-border payments market.

Revenue and Profitability

Wise PLC’s revenue increased to £658.0m, up 11% year-on-year, with underlying income rising by 13% to £749.5m. However, rising administrative expenses contributed to a 15% decline in underlying operating profit, highlighting a mixed profit performance in this half-year period of FY2025.

Customer and Transaction Growth

The company achieved an 18% growth in active customers, reaching 13.4 million, and saw its cross-border transaction volume increase by 24% to £84.9bn. Additionally, customer holdings climbed 37% to £25.3bn, underlining the platform’s growing appeal in global money transfers.

Operational and Product Enhancements

Operational improvements were a key focus, with 74% of transfers now completed instantly and an average cross-border take rate of 52 bps. The report also highlighted the successful integration of new domestic payment systems—such as Pix in Brazil, with Zengin in Japan imminent—and the launch of innovative services like Wise Assets in Brazil and enhancements to the Wise Account.

Strategic Market Developments

Wise PLC continued to expand its global presence, securing regulatory approvals from the Central Bank of the UAE and announcing new partnerships with platforms like Upwork, MBSB Bank, and Lunar. These initiatives aim to further embed Wise into the global financial system and drive future growth.
