General Objective
The Fund aims to maximize the return on investment through a combination of capital growth and income on the Fund's assets, while investing in companies domiciled in or primarily operating in the People's Republic of China, in line with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.
Fund Exposure
At least 70% of the Fund's total assets are invested in equity securities of Chinese companies. The Fund is actively managed, with the investment adviser using financial derivative instruments for investment purposes and risk management. The IA refers to the MSCI China 10/40 Index when constructing the portfolio but has discretion to invest in securities not included in the Index for specific opportunities.
Risks
This Fund may not be suitable for short-term investment, as dividends are distributed monthly but not guaranteed. Dividends are determined by a committee appointed by the Directors of the Fund and may be paid from the capital, potentially leading to capital erosion and limiting further growth.
