The Fund’s investment goal is to generate a comparatively large increase in value over the long term without undue risk. The Fund’s investment policy is to purchase carefully selected life insurance policies (for example, universal life policies, whole life policies, term life policies, endowment life policies, variable universal life policies and limited-pay life policies) that are beyond the contestability period. Excluded are so-called viatical settlements, which means that no policies with a life expectancy <= 24 months will be acquired. The Fund seeks to build a diversified portfolio across numerous sectors, including but not limited to carrier concentration, expected maturities, gender, age, medical impairment, geography and face value size. In order to properly implement a buy and hold strategy, the fund seeks to isolate mortality risk and build a large sample size. Since policies are generally held through maturity, the portfolio managers employ detailed actuarial and financial analysis to ensure that policies purchased are accounted for longevity risk as well as other variables of the statistical profile. Policies are marked to market on a monthly basis, to portray an accurate view of the assets. The investment philosophy has primarily one of a “buy and hold” nature. In addition, further assets may be acquired which are indicated as permissible in the Prospectus. At no time can it be guaranteed or promised that the investor will receive his invested capital back. In order to meet the legal requirements of Article 8, paragraphs 1(a) and (b) of Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 on sustainability-related disclosure obligations in the financial services sector of 27 November 2019, the AIFM publishes information on how environmental and/or social characteristics are fulfilled in the fund, in the constituent documents.
