Revenue and Operating Income Growth

Live Nation reported a revenue of $7 billion for Q2 2025, marking a 16% increase compared to the same period last year. Operating income rose by 4% to $487 million, while adjusted operating income surged by 11% to $798 million. Concerts profitability reached a record high with an AOI of $359 million, up 33% year-over-year.

Record Ticket Sales and Attendance

The company sold over 130 million tickets in Q2 2025, a 6% increase from the previous year, supported by double-digit attendance growth in international markets. Global fan attendance climbed by 14% to 44 million, with stadium attendance tripling compared to last year. Ticket sales were strong across all price points, with over 40% of global stadium shows selling out 95% of tickets within the first week.

Strong International Expansion

International markets drove significant growth, with Ticketmaster Gross Transaction Value increasing by 7% to $9 billion. Concert fans, Ticketmaster GTV, and sponsorship sales all saw double-digit increases internationally. Live Nation expanded its venue portfolio by opening new amphitheaters in the U.S. and a stadium in Canada, with plans for additional venues in Mexico, Colombia, and Canada.

Ticketmaster Performance

Ticketmaster achieved a record Q2 Gross Transaction Value of $9 billion, up 7% year-over-year. Fee-bearing tickets sold exceeded 83 million, a 4% increase, with international ticket volume growing in double digits. Deferred revenue for Ticketmaster reached an all-time high of $317 million, reflecting the strong concert activity.

Financial Strength and Future Investments

Live Nation maintains a strong balance sheet with year-to-date net cash provided by operating activities of $1.5 billion and free cash flow of $654 million. The company is investing $15 billion in global artist events for 2025 and expects to open ten new large venues next year. Capital expenditures are projected between $900 million and $1 billion for the full year, primarily supporting venue expansion and enhancements.
