iShares MSCI USA Screened ETF holds a broad portfolio of U.S. stocks drawn from the MSCI USA index but excludes companies involved in controversial or nuclear weapons; production or distribution of tobacco or civilian firearms; revenue from thermal coal–based power generation; fossil fuel extraction; production or distribution of palm oil; extraction of Arctic oil and gas; firms that violate the UN Global Compact; and companies linked to very severe controversies—it passively tracks that screened version of the MSCI USA benchmark to provide broad U.S. equity exposure with those specific exclusions.
