iShares $ Treasury Bond 0-1yr ETF holds short-term U.S. government debt—Treasury securities with remaining maturities of at least one month but under one year and with large issues (at least $300 million outstanding at rebalance)—so the portfolio is made up of high-credit, fixed‑rate U.S. Treasury bonds and similar short-duration Treasury instruments. To match its benchmark it generally buys representative securities rather than every index holding, may use derivatives to help replicate index returns, and can engage in short-term lending of holdings.
