Revenue Performance

Randstad N.V. reported revenues of €5,794 million in Q2 2025, representing a 4.8% year-over-year decrease. The decline was attributed to fewer working days, adverse currency effects, and the divestment of Monster. Regional revenue declines were noted in North America, Northern Europe, Southern Europe, the UK, and Latin America, while the Asia Pacific region saw a 2% increase.

Operating Profit and EBITA

Operating profit for Q2 2025 was €117 million, down €8 million from €125 million in Q2 2024. The underlying EBITA stood at €171 million, marking a 12% organic decline. The EBITA margin remained stable at 3.0%, consistent with the previous year despite the challenging environment.

Net Income and Earnings Per Share

Net income for Q2 2025 decreased by 40% year-over-year to €47 million. Adjusted net income for holders of ordinary shares fell by 29% to €84 million. Diluted earnings per ordinary share were €0.48, down from €0.67 in Q2 2024.

CEO Reappointment

The supervisory board of Randstad N.V. has proposed reappointing CEO Sander van ‘t Noordende for a second term at the upcoming AGM on March 27, 2026. CEO van ‘t Noordende expressed gratitude for the reappointment and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing Randstad’s position as a leading talent partner.

Operational Highlights

Randstad saw a double-digit increase in self-service shifts, reflecting the company’s transition to a digital-first business model. Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) demand rose by 8% organically, and the company continued to reduce costs to enhance profitability and position itself for future growth.
